Getting to Know James

This post is for you to learn more about my operating principles, a brief view into who I am as a person and a professional, and examples of my work.

Leadership Philosophy & Operating Principles

I possess a balance between aggressive execution (Pioneer, Responsible, Flexible) and deep emotional intelligence (Trustworthy, Supportive, Cultivator). In addition to building complex strategies, I am the collaborative glue that successfully brings the rest of the organization along for the ride.

Pioneering Impact: I am driven by seeking out unseen friction points and building strategic frameworks to solve complex, systemic problems explicitly where others haven’t been able to make traction.

Extreme Responsibility: I take full accountability for my actions and the commercial outcomes of my programs, operating as the ultimate owner of the end-to-end customer lifecycle.

Cultivating Trust: I influence without authority by being a fiercely loyal, sincere, and reliable partner. I prioritize cultivating and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships over years—bridging the gap between Product, Engineering, Sales, and Support.

Strategic Flexibility: I architect scalable workflows and crisis management playbooks that allow the organization to adjust and adapt readily to changing circumstances, product launches, or incidents.

Unwavering Supportiveness: I am dedicated to being an encouraging and available resource, prioritizing team enablement, mentorship, and building ecosystems where people know they can rely on me.
